Ground Control Touring is looking for a Contracts Manager to join our team in Brooklyn,Chicago, Los Angeles or Nashville . Successful candidates will have 3+ years of legal,paralegal, or business affairs experience in live music, preferably from a booking agency orpromoter. They will be well versed in the concert and tour contracting process, with artist favorable terms at top of mind. This position reports directly to Ground Control Touring’sManaging Director. Responsibilities: Manage and own the full lifecycle of the contracting process for the agency'slarger clients, tour deals, festival engagements, and international performances Collaborate with agent teams on contract negotiation strategy, aligning agencyterms & conditions (T&C) with overall artist objectives Standardize T&C with primary agency promoter partners to ensure streamlinedagreement timelines and payment processing Optimize the process for issuing, reviewing, and revising a high volume ofcontracts, gathering necessary information while ensuring accuracy Train, educate, and clarify contract processes with key stakeholders and agencyteams Provide agency wide database training and usage guidelines Ensure organized filing of contracts and other relevant documentation in agencydatabase and other internal systems Qualifications: 3+ years of relevant legal or business affairs experience in live music, ideally on theagency or promoter side Strong knowledge of industry contracting standards, with an expertise in artist-favorableterms Well versed in the various artist deal structures associated with a live performance Exceptional eye for detail in contract drafting and review with an ability to identify errorsand inconsistencies Familiarity with Opus database a plus Ground Control Touring is an independent booking agency, founded in 2000 with offices inBrooklyn, Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville, Austin, and Portland.
